The Lake
Wissota tournament came on the heels of a
week of very warm temperatures. Saturday
was no exception, with the air temperature
approaching 90. Water temperatures had been
warming all week, prior to the tournament,
and the Smallies, Lake Wissota is so well
known for, were finishing their spawning
ritual.
The anglers
were greeted in the morning by the owner,
Al, and his staff at The View with coffee
and an assortment of rolls and sweet rolls.
Al, his manager Reba, and all the staff at
The View did an exceptional job of making
the competitors feel welcome at his
establishment. The View was the site of
last year’s Bassmaster Elite 50, held on
Lake Wissota.
