This
Lake Wissota tournament was a real
Fish Fest.
Forty five teams competed in this event.
The only weekend the competitors had to
practice on this lake greeted the anglers
with mild temperatures but gale-force
winds. The anglers were stating the fishing
on those days was extremely tough.
Tournament day, however, was a different
story. We had temperatures in the 70’s and
light winds. The Smallies were on the
prowl. The forty five teams managed to
catch 162 Bass weighing a total of 393.58
pounds. In the 10 years of Wisconsin Team
Circuit’s existence, this set a record.
There were twenty-one 5-fish limits. First
place honors went to the team of Pat
Schlapper and Rob Yule with a 5-fish limit
of 16.97 pounds. Check out all the results
of this tournament in the results section of
this website.
The next
Bear’s Series tournament will be held on
Long Lake, June 9th. The host
site will be Fletch’s Reel’em Inn. The
sponsors for this tournament are Minn Kota
Trolling Motors and St. Croix Rod.

The
View on Lake Wissota has a lot to
offer, they have cold beer and great
food. Also they have plenty of boat
parking available when you want to
come off the water. They have a ton
of deck space to sit outside and
look over the lake. |
