The 45
teams participating in the 3rd of four
Bear’s Series tournaments this year were
again greeted with a beautiful summer
morning. A lot of bass were caught, but not
the big bags Island/Chain is known for.
Forty-three of the forty-five teams brought
150 bass to the scales, weighing a total of
314.98 pounds. There were 17 teams with
5-fish limits.
The team
of Chuck Richardson and Duane Johnson
brought a five-bass limit to the scales
weighing 14.77 pounds. This captured them 1st
place, worth $1000, plus they were fishing
out of a Skeeter Boat and picked-up another
$1000 from Skeeter Real Money. Big Bass
honors again went to the team of Gary Stone
and Neil Nelson with a 3.97 Largemouth.
This bass was worth $440. The other winners
are listed in the results section of this
website.
After 3
qualifying tournaments, most of the teams
know how they stand and what they need to do
to earn a berth at Wisconsin Bass
Classic-2008.
Check
out all the results and photos from this
tournament on the site.
The
fourth and final qualifying Bear’s Series
tournament takes us to Big Chetac on August
2.
The host
site is Birch Lakes Resort.
