A pleasant morning greeted the competitors when they arrived at the 2nd tournament in Bill’s Series.  Big Chetac did not live up to its’ reputation as a “big fish lake” on this day.  Anglers said they were catching a lot of bass, but they were all running smaller than usual for this body of water.  This is a similar situation that faced the Bear’s Series anglers on Bone Lake the week before.  The Bill’s Series teams go to Bone Lake next.  Let’s see if it repeats itself.

On Big Chetac 28 teams brought a total of 108 bass to the scales, weighing a total of 221.28 pounds.  On half of the field caught their 5-bass limit.  First place honors went to the team of DJ Brantner and Brian Zinn with a 12.34 pound limit.  This was good enough to take home an $1100 check.  Big Bass of the tournament was caught by the team of Dan Meyer and Dave Sedani.  The 3.15 pound bruiser was worth $280.00.

The race for Top Team is shaping-up to be an exciting race, with 3 tournaments left.

Check out all the results and photos of this tournament on the results section of this site.

Next tournament in the Bill’s Series is July 12th on Bone Lake.  Host site is Wilkin’s Bar and Grill.
