The competition day was sunny with a slight breeze, picture perfect.  This was WTC’s first time on The Flowage and with the amount and quality of fish caught, it deserves consideration for a future WTC tournament.  The 24 teams brought a total of 92 bass to the scales, weighing a total of  262.86 pounds.  Sixteen teams caught their 5-bass limit.  The weight of any of the top thirteen teams would win most tournaments.  First place honors went to the team of Dan Allen and John Gubrud with a whopping 20.88 pound limit.  They also took Big Bass honors with a 5.06 pound Largemouth. This was good enough to take home $1230. 

The race for Top Team was down to a 2-horse race, between the teams of Dan Allen/John Gubrud and Chuck Richardson/Chuck Postle.  Only 0.42 of a point separated the 2 teams going into this contest.  Check out the final standings to see who won this race and will be Wisconsin Team Circuit’s Top Team-Bill’s Series-2008.  The Top Team will get free entry into all tournaments in the Division of their choice for 2009.  Each member of the team will also receive a St. Croix Rod Avid rod of their choice.

The next stop for the qualifiers in each Series will be The Wisconsin Bass Classic-2008, held September 17-20, 2008 on the Minocqua Chain of Lakes in the beautiful Minocqua-Arbor Vitae-Woodruff Area of Wisconsin.
