The competition day was sunny with a slight breeze.  Because of this time of year, most teams headed for the south end of the pool.  Only a couple of teams headed north into Pool 3 and the St. Croix river

The 25 teams brought a total of 94 bass to the scales, weighing a total of  209.78 pounds.  Sixteen teams caught their 5-bass limit.  First place honors went to the team of Dan Allen and John Gubrud with a 15.14 pound limit.  This was good enough to take home an $1100 check.  Big Bass honors went to the team of Dennis Rhead and Jason Sosebee, with a 3.96 Largemouth.  This bass was worth $250, and along with their 5^th Place fished, took home $575.

The race for Top Team is basically down to a 2-horse race, with 1 tournament remaining, the Chippewa Flowage.  Word has it big bags have been brought to the scales in some recent tournaments on The Flowage. This could be a real shoot-out.
