Boy, did the teams hit a home run in this tournament.  The day started out warm, with a threat of rain. The rain did arrive at the 7:00AM take-off.  The bass were “on fire” on this day.  Teams reported catching bass wherever they went.  Forty-eight teams brought a total of 215 bass to the scale, for a whopping 561.80 pounds.  There were 37 teams who registered a 5-fish limit.  This was a true Fish-Fest.  Unreal!!!!

The Pokegama was our host site for this tournament.  Their facilities for a tournament such as this is great.  They had the restrooms open at 5:00AM, with coffee available to the competitors.  We weighed-in on their deck, which helped due to the rain showers we received about half-way through.  The winning weight of 19.46 pounds was brought to the scale by the team of Ron Kubin and Bryan Johnson.  This weight was worth $1200 for their effort.  Big Bass honors went to the team of Mike Oliver and Tim Fitzmaurice.  Their 4.59 hog narrowly edged-out the 2nd place team of Steve Crotteau and Gregg Kizewski by a mere .03 of a pound.  This fish was worth $470.

Please take a moment to review the total results of this tournament.  Quite impressive.

Our next stop for the East Division is July 25th at Big Chetac.  Our host site is Birch Lakes Resort, who have been WTC’s host for on this water for each of the past 12 years.
