The West
Division has seen almost every conceivable
weather condition imaginable this season,
with all 4 of their qualifying lakes fishing
“tough.” Saturday started-off nice at
take-off, but later lightning settled in,
followed by muggy and windy conditions in
the afternoon.
Thirty eight
teams brought in a total of 83 bass to the
scales for a total weight of 165.22 pounds.
The only bright spot was 6 bass were brought
in weighing over 4 pounds each. Tournament
Champion honors went to the team of Brad
Olson and Brent Rose for mustering the
largest bag weighing 12.10 pounds. Theirs
was one of only 5 limits brought to the
scale. Their effort brought them the 1st
place purse of $1000. 2nd place
and Big Bass honors went to the father/son
team of George and Adam Diller. There 5
bass weighed a total of 11.28 pounds, with
the Big Bass weighing 4.45 pounds. This
effort was worth a total of $1040 dollars.
Congratulations goes out to the team of Cory
Hauk and Andy Bylander for achieving Top
Team honors by narrowly edging out the team
of Jared and Jeff Bauer by a mere 1.09
points.
Please take a
moment to view all of the results of this
tournament, plus the year-end point
standings, on this website.
This concludes
the 2009 qualifying tournament season for
the West Division. The next stop for the
top 30 teams in this Division will be the
Wisconsin Bass Classic-2009, September 29
through October 3, 2009 on the Minocqua
Chain of Lakes.
