The weather
was threatening rain all day. It held off
until 3:00PM, weigh-in time, and then began
to come down.
The thirty one
teams managed to catch 91 Bass, weighing a
total of 193.43 pounds. First place honors
went to the team of Mike Mattis and Barry
Rettke, who brought a 5-bass limit to the
scale, weighing a total of 13.36 pounds.
This catch was worth $800. The second place
team of Mario Capozzi and Joe Capozzi
brought a limit weighing 12.55 pounds to the
scale. This was worth $600. Included in
their bag was the Big Bass of the
tournament, 3.70 pounds, worth another $300,
for total winnings of $900. Third place
honors went to the team of Justin Rowe and
Adam Memmer with a limit weighing 11.97
pounds and worth $500.
Overall, the
weights brought in were lower than what Long
Lake typically produces. The non-typical
spring we had was probably a major
contributor to the weights.
The winners of
the $50 gift certificate from Buzz’s Bar &
Grill, Mondovi, WI and $50 from Gunderson
Meats, Mondovi, WI went to the team of Nick
Raedel and John Raedel for coming in “1st
out of the money.”
Now with 2 of
the 4 qualifying tournaments completed, the
race for “Top Team-2010” is starting to
heat-up.
