The day
started out cloudy after a strong storm the
night before downed trees and poured rain.
The thirty
four teams managed to catch 113 Bass,
weighing a total of 241.65 pounds. First
place honors went to the team of Jeremy Fern
and Cody Landt, who brought a 5-bass limit
to the scale, weighing a total of 15.29
pounds. This catch was worth $900. The
second place team of Chuck Postle and Duane
Johnson Jr. brought a limit weighing 13.99
pounds to the scale. This was worth $600.
Included in their bag was the Big Bass of
the tournament, 4.70 pounds, worth another
$340, for total winnings of $940. Third
place honors went to the team of Elmer
Winter and Justin Winter with a limit
weighing 12.17 pounds and worth $500.
The winners of
the $50 gift certificate from Buzz’s Bar &
Grill, Mondovi, WI and $50 from Gunderson
Meats, Mondovi, WI went to the team of Mike
Mattis and Barry Rettke for coming in “1st
out of the money.”
Now with 3 of
the 4 qualifying tournaments completed, the
race for “Top Team-2010” is starting to
heat-up between the current 1st
and 2nd total points teams. With
only 1 qualifying tournament remaining,
based on the points, the Top 30 teams as
they stand today should all be eligible to
fish the Wisconsin Bass Classic-2010.
Visit the
