Pleasant spring weather greeted the competitors as they arrived at The View.  Reba was ready by having coffee and donuts for the anglers.  Temperatures were in the upper 60’s with overcast skies.  The weather was sunny with temperatures in the mid 70’s.  The 40 teams brought 123 bass to the scales weighing a total of 270.12 pounds.  First Place honors went to the team of Pat Schlapper and Rob Yule, with a 5-fish bag weighing 14.47 pounds.  This was good for $1000, plus they run a Skeeter Boat, so they won an additional $500 in Skeeter Real Money, for a grand total of $1500.  Second Place went to the team of Wes Haney and Barry Rettke with a 5-fish limit weighing 13.76 pounds.  This finish was worth $700.  The team of Dennis Rhead and Chad Maves took Third Place with a bag weighing 13.58 pounds.  This earned them $500 for their efforts.  Big Bass, worth $400, went to the team of Dan Parker and Nathan Parker with bass weighing 3.81 pounds.

WTC sponsors, Buzz’s Bar&Grill and Gunderson’s Meats, both located in Mondovi, WI, provide a $50 gift certificate from each place to the first “Team out of the Money”.  That team must be present at the awards ceremony to receive the certificates.  If not present, it goes to the next team out of the money.  Winners of the $100 in certificates were Darrin and Dalton Engstrom.  Sand Creek Brewery also supplied 6-packs of their micro-brewery.  Six lucky anglers won those.

You can view all the results of the tournament in the results section of the Bill’s Series.

The Bill’s Series next tournament is on the Chippewa Flowage, on June 26th.  Our host site is Treland’s Resort.
