Welcome to the 2013
Wisconsin Ice Fishing League
(WIFL),
presented by Wisconsin Team Circuit. This
will be our 3rd year of providing
ice fishing tournaments.
The mission of WIFL is to provide a fun
environment for ice fishing while providing
high quality, friendly competition for every
participant and the promotion of ice fishing
as an exciting and enjoyable outdoor
activity for those of us in the “ice”
states.
Wisconsin Ice Fishing League
is a series of 5 individual team tournaments
where the anglers compete for money and
points. Each participant in a WIFL event
must have a Wisconsin Team Circuit
membership. The cost of an annual
membership is $10 per individual. The
membership must be paid with the first
tournament entered. A member can
participate in all Wisconsin Team Circuit
events, including WIFL and the bass
tournaments, for all of 2013.
Each qualifying tournament will be open to
the first 41 teams who register. Each team
will consist of 2 people. Entry fee for
each qualifying tournament is $120 per
team. The four qualifying tournaments will
last 5 hours, beginning at 8:00AM and ending
a 1:00PM. The team limit is a total of 12
pan fish. Pan fish eligible are sunfish,
bluegill, pumpkinseed, perch and crappie.
All weigh-ins will be conducted indoors at
the weigh-in sites listed with the lakes.
The rules explain how each team’s fish are
transported to the weigh-in site. There
will be a meeting on the morning of each
tournament to cover specific rules and the
procedures each team will follow during the
tournament.
There are 10’s of thousands of ice fishermen
in Wisconsin. Tournament fishing for bass,
walleyes and muskys are familiar to every
outdoor enthusiast. Ice fishing tournaments
in Wisconsin are in their infancy.
In addition to competing for the money at
each event, the teams will also receive
points based on how they finish each event.
We will withhold 15% of the entry fee from
each of the 5 tournaments. This pot of
money will be paid out(100%), based on total
points accumulated in the 5 tournaments, the
following way:
-The Top Team, the team who attains the
highest point over 5 tournaments, will
receive two Gold Medals, St. Croix Rod
merchandise, 22% of the Bonus Pot and will
fish all the tournaments in 2014 for free.
-2nd Top Team will receive 2
Silver Medals plus 28% of the Bonus Pot
-3rd Top Team will receive 2
Bronze Medals plus 22% of the Bonus Pot
-2 Wild Cards will also be paid from the
Bonus Pot. All teams, except the Top 3, who
have fished the 5 tournaments are eligible,
through a drawing, to receive 14% of the
Bonus Pot.
Pay backs for each tournament and the
general rules governing each tournament are
listed on the entry form.
Entry forms for each qualifying tournament
can be printed from this website.
